Clermont-Ferrand, the capital of the Auvergne (France), can boast renowned expertise in analgesia research, thanks in particular to its INSERM" Fundamental and Clinical Pharmacology of Pain" research unit and its Clinical Investigation Centre which specializes in the clinical investigation of analgesics. In parallel, other research structures and companies are proactive in the analgesic niche providing a genuine platform based on innovation in this domain. Called the Analgesia Partnership, it includes expertise from the molecular concept to application in humans. This is the only platform of its kind capable of offering complementary skills, backed by personalized consultancy in the major preclinical and clinical R&D stages of a new analgesic molecule. Today, eight partners are involved in this approach: four academic structures (CREPTA/UH, ENSCCF/UBP EA 987, INSERMCIC 501, INSERM/UA UMR 766) and four companies (ANS Biotech, Aptys Pharmaceuticals, CERB, Neuronax).
