François Boutignon, Ph D, CEO.

François is an expert in formulation and development of peptide drugs. After a Ph.D. in Lille and a post-doc in Oxford in the field of biochemistry, François joined Europeptides where he held the position of VP R&D. During his years at Europeptides, Francois developed several peptide based products, two of them have reached phase III status. In 2002, Francois co-founded Aptys Pharmaceuticals. Francois is the author of three patents and 54 publications and communications.

Thomas Barres, Pharm D, MSc, Director Development.

Thomas is an expert on formulation and pharmaceutical development. Before his thesis, he was production assistant at LPH a company specialized in dry dosage forms. After his thesis obtained at the University of Clermont-Ferrand, Thomas joined Aptys as project leader and later as technical manager. During his first years at Aptys, he was in charge of several innovation projects such as the development o the Bi-Gel® of testosterone.

Benoît Vanderschooten, Engineer in agronomy (INA), MBA (HEC ISA) Member of the strategic committee

Benoît acts as financial counselor. He spent 9 years as a financial officer in international companies: two years at Bruxells at Indosuez Bank, four years at Roussel Uclaf (Sanofi) and three years at Reydel Industries. In 1996, he joined the group Vanderschooten as a CFO. During this last experience, the size of the group was increased three fold while maintaining a high level of profitability.

Michel Lepers, Member of the strategic committee

Michel is co-founder of Aptys and founder of Eurobiobiz. Michel has a long experience in development, marketing and sales of products for pharmaceutical industry. He has held key positions at Glaxo and Amersham in UK.

Matthias Rischer, PhD, International Expert in CMC

Dr Rischer holds a Ph.D in organic chemistry. He started his career as head of the analytical development group then head of pharmaceutical development at Asta Medica AG. He was appointed managing director for the pharmaceutical development production and quality assurance at Zentaris AG. Beside his great experience in analytics, audits, production, regulatory, development, Matthias is expert in pharmaceutical technologies including hot melt extrusion, nanoparticles, solid solutions, self emulsifying systems, nanoemulsions.
