François Boutignon, Ph D, CEO.

After a Ph.D. in protein biochemistry, Francois was a post-doc fellow at the Glycobiology Unit, Department of Biochemistry, Oxford University. During his academic experience, François worked on structure activity relationship in the field of immunology and endocrinology. François then joined Europeptides, Paris where he held the position of VP R&D. In this previous position, François developed several peptide based formulations, two of then have reached phase III status. He is the co-author of several patents and 20 scientific papers. In 2002, Francois co-founded Aptys Pharmaceuticals with Jean-Marc Aiache, Pharm D, Ph D, Professor Emeritus of Biopharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmaceutical Technology at Université d’Auvergne, and Michel G. Lepers, Professor in charge of technology transfer at Université d’Auvergne, founder and CEO of Eurobiobiz.

Thomas Barres, MSc, Pharm D, Director Development.

Thomas started his career as formulation scientist specialized in solid dosage forms with LPH Industries and the biopharmaceutics lab at Université d’Auvergne. He joined Aptys in 2003 as the Head of Pharm Tech lab / project leader. Thomas initiated conducted the development of 3 major products: a rectal foam, a transdermal formulation based on the Bigel technology currently evaluated in Phase 3 in the USA, and an inhalated product. Thomas is now heading all the technical activities at Aptys.

Christophe Chrétien, Ph D, Project director.

After a Ph D in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Christophe worked with Liponex, Inc in Canada where he first was in charge of the development of a drug delivery technology, and then took charge of the pharmaceutical development actvities. Christophe joined Aptys in 2008 where he offers his expertise in drug delivery to transversal tasks as a project manager and business developer.
